Day Off

The past month has been quite hectic for me with the thousand and one assignments on my tray which of course took most up of my time to complete. Last week was especially bad because there were just too many things to be done and submitted at the same time.

Yesterday, I finally submitted my tutorial paper which was the last of the 'bad batch' of assignments. Out of three topics, I chose "The Meaning of Home: What creates significance?" and I thought it'd be a pretty cool topic at first. It can actually be a great topic to write about if I hadn't had that writer's block. So you can just imagine how bummed I was that I didn't get to fully engage with that topic and I felt as if I did it half ass. I can't do much about it though since it has already been submitted (yeay! let's just hope my 6% similarity with other written work will be credited).

Since I've been stumped for the past few weeks, I decided to give myself a little treat and gave myself a day off. Naturally, my first thought was to go to the city. And to the city I went. I originally had so many plans. Go to coffee shops, watch a movie, shop for things. I ended up doing 1 of the 3. Guess which one *insert monkey emoji*

I got these awesome babies for $15 (From Payless Shoes). To be extremely honest, I wanted oxford shoes. I've been aiming for them for a while now. But somehow ... with the price and everything ..... just couldn't resist them (such a girl, Mira).
I ended up spending most of my day in the city just walking around and browsing clothes (this is why I like shopping alone, I take literally hours to decide whether I want something or not).

I'll probably do another 1 out of the 3 today. I'm not declaring today a day off but i still feel like watching that movie. I really do take my time off from assignments quite seriously because I know when the week is over, more submissions are to come pretty soon.

Tip:
For Muslim girls who also love to spend hours of their day shopping but you have no idea where the surau is, pray in the fitting rooms (or a parent's room works too). Take some clothes and before you try them on, pray first! It's much easier if you take your wudhu' from home so that you don't have to find a toilet when you're there. In Brisbane CBD, the fitting rooms I remember to be quite big and decent enough to pray in are Temt and Paper's and Scissors. Happy shopping loves!

Kita park mana eh, dik?

Me: G8!

*Walks toward G8 yang apparently tak wujud there

Abang: EH! MANA G8 PERGI?! ABANG TAU TADI ADA. DAH KENA TUTUP KE? :/
Me: Tu laa, dekat mana kita park?
Abang: Floor bawah kotttt. Tapi takkan la. Kita mana ada turun bawah.
Me: Hm. Tu lah. Maybe Colour coding lain?
Abang: Ada eh macam tu? Hm.

*Pusing the carpark for 10 minutes then decided to turun one floor

Abang: TU DIA! One floor down.
Me: And different colour coding! (Atas merah, bawah hijau)

Just another good day with the big brother :D

Happy Girl Right Here. Ngehngeh.

Guess what? After a month of staying at home with practically not much to do except for staring at walls the occassional window shopping, I finally bought myself a maxi dress. Scream now in joy and forever will I love you

oh, and shades. Shhhhhh! Mama taktauuuu about my purchases today -.- She thought I only bought a calendar.

Red maxi, long sleeves, peacock feather prints RM39.90. This is at KL Sentral. After walking around there today, I found out that KL Sentral has a lot of good buys at a cheap price. Maxi dresses were mostly at RM40 with long sleeves and RM30 with short ones.

Pashminas and shawls for those who love them like I do can be found at RM10 - RM30 much like any other place I've seen. For the same type of pashmina and satin selendang and the works, you can it at a much much cheaper price at Jalan TAR. It's this one shop called Muaz Textiles (Just found out tadi. Last time pergi excited sangat sebab murah sampai tak peduli nama kedai. Kan nak recommend dekat orang dah susah. Hehs). You can get a pashmina for RM6.80 for those plain ones. The most irritating thing that happened to me the other day was that I just bought a satin selendang for RM10 which I already considered as cheap and found the shop just a day after, just to find that it was more that half that price. Bloody RM4.80. Pfffffft!

As for flowy skirts, long shirts and cardigans which I have come to love (but yet to purchase), KL Sentral, again is not actually a bad place to go. The prices are quite reasonable much like the prices that'll you'll get at bangunan PKNS or something like that. Even SOGO isn't that bad to be truthful. It's like they forever have sales there. My shades were on sale at Vincci so it was a good buy (nak sedapkan hati je ni)

Sadly I didn't take any pictures with my friends today even though it was practically a highlight of my week. We ate at Insaf, another superbly good stop for beriyani (:

and walked practically a mile. Haha. I love you guys!
