New Kid in Town

Greetings from Brisbane! This was taken at the Central Business District (CBD) in Brisbane

I touched down at Brisbane Airport at 2.10 pm (Brisbane time. Here it's Malaysia time + 2 hours) along with another 11 JPA scholars. It was so hectic the week before the sending off. But I don't wanna talk about that. I'm just glad that we reached Brisbane safe and sound (with one mishap along the road where we missed the flight from Melbourne to Brisbane >.< )

Now we're residing at a senior's place which is just a 5 minute walk to University of Queensland (UQ). I'll be moving out soon with another 3 people and the house will be a just a 2 minute walk to UQ (yeayers!). I make it sound like UQ is so near. Well, in actual fact it is. But it is a  huge huge HUGE campus and so it'll take about 10-15 minutes to reach  my faculty hehe. The walk won't bother me though since I love them so much.

This was also taken at the CBD at a shop called Satay House (or Satay Stop? Something like that). We wanted to try out a shop called Malaya Corner. We went in only to discover that the place served non-halal food. Should have asked them when we entered. Hehe. 

Besides all that, it was a nice day out at the City. Going to do some errands around campus tomorrow.

And somehow I get super hungry super fast here I don't know why. Sad thing is, the food is a bit limited so I can't wait to start cooking to my heart's content soon (ecewahhh). But yes, I really want food so I do need to cook soon. To buy one take out meal is to spend about RM30 in Malaysia which is normally a no no. 

Anyway, I have to try and sleep now. Got things to do, places to see tomorrow.
