Timing

Sometimes I wonder,

Had we met now and not earlier,

At a different place,

In a different situation,

From when we were teens,

  Would we still like each other now?

Had we met later and not now, 

At a different place,

In a different situation,

From that rainy Sunday evening,

  Would we still like each other later?

Had we never met, 

  Would our lives be any better?
